Questions
Everything people ask before they trust this with their numbers.
If yours is not here, ask it — the answer usually ends up on this page.
Money
Is the free tier a trial?
No. Every one of the 30 tools runs in full, forever, without a card. What you pay for is persistence — saved scenarios, exports, the monthly Pulse report, the full Academy, and a bigger advisor allowance (20 questions a day on Starter against 3 on Free).
How do I cancel?
Send one message and it is done — no exit survey, no retention call. Your rate is locked for the life of the subscription, so if you come back at a higher list price you keep the old one. Contact.
Do nonprofits pay less?
Yes, permanently rather than as a promotion — $19 and $99 against $49 and $149. Verify 501(c)(3) status once. Nonprofit pricing.
Your data
Where do my numbers go?
On the free tier, nowhere. The arithmetic happens in your browser and the figures are not transmitted. On paid tiers what you save is stored so you can return to it. Nothing is sold, and nothing trains a model.
Do I have to connect QuickBooks?
No. Every tool works from numbers you type. The QuickBooks connection is a Pro convenience that removes the typing, it is read-only, and you can disconnect it whenever you like — we never write to your books.
What happens to my work if I stop paying?
It is not deleted out from under you and it stays exportable. The privacy policy is the operative version of this answer.
Scope
Does this replace my bookkeeper or CPA?
No, and it should not try. It shortens the conversation with them, because you arrive with the math already done and a specific question rather than a folder.
What size company is this for?
Roughly $1M to $25M, with or without a controller. Under that a spreadsheet is genuinely fine. Over it you have a finance team and different problems — the long version is on /why.
My situation is not covered by any tool.
That is what Built for you is — a scoped engagement where the modules get built around your business and you own them at the end. How that works.
The advisor, and the person behind it
What does the AI advisor actually do?
It answers in a memo against the context you gave it, and it shows its arithmetic as a table you can check. When it cannot show the math it says so rather than producing a confident number.
Who built this?
Josh Menold — twenty years of operating seats from controller to CEO, not a finance department. The whole record is on /about, including the ones that went badly.
Do the results on this site have names attached?
All of them. Every case names the company — a result nobody will put a name to is not a result.
Still deciding?
The diagnostic costs nothing and tells you which of the 30 tools you would actually use.
