AI Advisor
You're not overwhelmed by AI. You're overwhelmed by vendor marketing. This tool gives you a personalized, opinionated AI strategy built around the way AI is actually used in running a business — not the way it's sold.

The posture: skepticism + specificity + verification
All AI lies. All AI hallucinates. Use it anyway. The goal is not to trust it — the goal is to know exactly what you're asking for, know what “good” looks like, and verify what comes back. People who get stuck with AI are usually stuck because they don't know what they want. The tool doesn't know your business. You do.
The four-tool stack
Most operators don't need more tools. They need to use the four below in their right jobs.
| Tool | The job it does | Do not use for |
|---|---|---|
| Perplexity | Facts, research, sourced citations. When you need something verified against the web with links back to the source. | Producing documents, long-form writing, legal or financial deliverables. |
| Claude | Documents, financial models, code, deep reasoning. Anything where the output has to hold up under scrutiny. Claude Code for building software. | Casual Q&A (burns paid tokens for little gain). Facts you haven't verified. |
| Gemini | Day-to-day volume work inside Google Workspace — email drafting, doc summaries, meeting notes. Free with Workspace. | Anything leaving Workspace where the output has to be airtight. Use Claude there instead. |
| ChatGPT | Asking questions, thinking out loud, brainstorming. Great conversational tool. | Production work. Financial numbers that ship. Client documents under your name. |
On Microsoft 365? Substitute Copilot for Gemini — same role, different suite.
The hard rules
- Verify every number and every claim. AI will state falsehoods with complete confidence. Assume hallucination until proven otherwise — especially on citations, statutes, quotes, and numbers.
- Keep AI out of the decision seat on high-stakes work. Hiring, firing, legal output, financial numbers going to a bank or the IRS, customer communication under your name. A human signs off. Always.
- Never paste sensitive data into a free public tool. Client financials, employee records, unreleased strategy — use Claude for Work, Gemini inside Workspace, Copilot inside M365, or self-hosted. Default assumption: free tiers train on your input.
- Leverage, not replacement. AI is for making your existing people 5x more capable. The moment you frame it as headcount reduction, you lose the judgment that makes the AI output trustworthy.
- The person who wins with AI knows their domain deeply enough to direct it.You cannot outsource judgment to a tool. If you don't know what “good” looks like, no prompt will save you.
The content crisis is not real. The presence crisis is.
AI can produce infinite content — emails, decks, plans, outlines, whatever. None of that solves the real shortages in your business, your team, or your family. What's scarce is presence, trust, and judgment. Don't let AI substitute for the relationship. Your team doesn't need a better-drafted email from you. They need you.
The leverage thesis — why AI actually matters
Features have no moat. Any software feature can be replicated by AI in weeks. What AI cannot replicate is the domain knowledge inside your team — the reason a specific customer calls you, the quirks of your market, the judgment that tells a great operator to pause when the numbers look right.
The real edge is not “we use AI.” The real edge is “our people know exactly what to tell AI and how to verify its output.” Point AI at your domain. Govern the output. Compound.
Get your personalized AI strategy
Tell us who you are and what you're trying to get AI to do for you. The more specific you are, the more useful the strategy.
Not the job description — the real work. The meetings, the emails, the reports, the fires. The stuff that fills the calendar.
Tell us what you spend your week on and either what you use today or what you want to try.
A note on governance
Nothing in this tool replaces judgment. Nothing in any AI replaces judgment. If you work in a regulated industry, sit on any board, touch client money, or manage people's careers — your AI use needs a written policy that your attorney and compliance lead have read. This tool is a starting point for thinking clearly about AI. It is not legal, tax, compliance, or HR advice. Pair it with the humans who are paid to protect you.
